Transformational breath is a unique style of breathing, also known as Conscious Connected Breathing. Many of us live in a constant state of heightened awareness or feeling like we have encountered some perceived threat in our environment. When the nervous system goes from feeling safe, to feeling unsafe, it will release a charge. That charge is what boosts us into action, as our dynamic bodies were built for survival. If we are unable to complete what is called a stress cycle, meaning fully releasing the charge that was ignited after the perceived threat, that energy stores in the body and accumulates. These sessions can be highly restorative and can also shake loose things that have been stored deep within the body for years. The beauty of this work is that we don't have to re-live anything to release it, we just have to be willing to feel it.
No experience is necessary to dive into this work, you may feel the call to attend multiple sessions as you acclimate to the depths this work can provide.

Understanding where your nervous system response is at any given moment, takes time. The sheer sensation of the initial nervous system response can set off many physical sensations and can even be confused with anxiety, and panic.
Our Limbic System is intact to help us survive, but nurturing it through calming, relaxing and peaceful activities can create a sense of soothing to a nervous system constantly in hyper-arousal.
The key is balance.

Get to know your nervous system. Get to know when you are feeling safe in your body and safe in the presence of others. Get to know what it feels like in your body when you are not threatened. Cultivate nourishing connections to the breath community. Rebuild your relationship with your nervous system as it is the foundation of our lived experience, connecting our body and mind and regulating all of our vital body systems.

Kriya holds a long lineage and deep tradition rooted all the way back into the Vedic texts. This sacred work was designed to purify the channels of the body and the mind. The subtext of this work describes the heat building element of the body movement, breath and mantra and in translation means to accept pain as help for purification.
Seasonally we will explore unique ways to purify the channels of the body and mind through elements such as candle gazing, mantra, mudra, kriya breath and body movement all followed by a short guided meditation. Engaging in this practice is a beautiful way to nurture self-care and kickstart your day with a powerful energy that can carry you through anything it may toss your way.

This is a slow paced, gentle style of yoga in which all postures are seated or laying down. One intent is to draw the practitioner into a deeply meditative internal space while exploring their ‘edges’ and what physical limitations may exist. Each posture yields a long hold to allow you to sink into the connective tissues of the body while exploring different ranges of parasympathetic breath rhythms designed to bring balance and ease to the nervous system.

If you are not sure about breathing in a group setting, are feeling unsure about where you are in your breath journey or have had a recent nervous system trigger that you need a more customized experience for, one on one work is for you.
All you need to do is answer a few short questions to help me understand where you are, so that I can tailor a session that is most suited to your needs whether that be finding balance, claiming anxiety or stress, gaining more restful sleep or even energizing.
These sessions are $150 for an hour together with 45 minutes of active breathing.
