“It's been a very tough year, but I've had to stay strong for my family and keep myself on track for my work. I know I need to let go and fall apart and grieve and release stress, but it's hard to find time, and it's very hard to transition from strong to vulnerable and to allow a headspace where I can truly let go. Also, frankly, it's easier (for a little while anyhow) to just maintain my pace and avoid confronting and processing my difficult experiences. But I know this will eventually lead to collapse, and it's not a sustainable or healthy strategy. These breathwork sessions gave me the time, space and tools to get deep with myself and release my anger and sadness, and to cry hard, and grieve.
